Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Rescue Nine Illegal Aliens

 

LAREDO, Texas – Border Patrol agents throughout the Laredo Sector rescued nine illegal aliens during six different events.

The first event took place on March 25, 2018, when Border Patrol agents from the Laredo West Station responded to a request for assistance involving an individual lost in a ranch, northwest of Laredo, Texas. The subject had resorted to calling 911 after he became lost and exhausted while walking in the brush. Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and located the subject in good health.

The subject was determined to be from the country of Mexico and illegally in the United States.

Later that same day, Border Patrol agents from the Zapata Station rescued two subjects during two different events, north of Zapata, Texas.

The subjects called for assistance after they became lost while walking through the brush. Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and located the two subjects in good health.

A CBP Air and Marine Operations helicopter and the Laredo Sector Horse Patrol Unit assisted in the rescue of these two subjects. The subjects were determined to be from the country of Mexico and illegally in the United States.

Later that evening, Border Patrol agents from the Laredo South Station responded to a request for assistance involving an individual lost in a ranch, east of Laredo, Texas. The subject had resorted to calling for assistance after he became lost and in distress after walking in the brush.

Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and determined the subject needed medical attention.

The subject was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The subject was determined to be from the country of Mexico and illegally in the United States.

On March 28, 2018, Border Patrol agents from the Zapata Station rescued five subjects during two different events, near San Ignacio, Texas.

The subjects called for assistance after they became lost while walking through the brush.

Border Patrol agents arrived on scene and located the five subjects. A Border Patrol Agent certified as an Emergency Medical Technician treated one subject for blisters on their feet. The subjects were determined to be from the country of Mexico and illegally in the United States.

“These events illustrate how the men and women of the United States Border Patrol not only serve to protect our borders, but are also committed to the preservation of life and assist anyone in need,” said Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel H. Acosta.
