LAREDO, Texas – In a continuing trend, Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrested five illegal aliens from the country of Bangladesh in Laredo, Texas.
On September 7, agents while patrolling the border apprehended five illegal aliens who crossed the Rio Grande River at the soccer fields in the Santa Rita subdivision. Upon interviewing the individuals, it was determined that they were from the country of Bangladesh. The individuals, two juveniles and three adults, were processed accordingly.
The Laredo Sector Border Patrol continues to have the highest apprehension of Bangladeshi Nationals compared to other Border Patrol Sectors. Currently, the Laredo Sector Border Patrol has apprehended 622 Bangladeshi Nationals since the start of fiscal year 2018.
All persons apprehended by the United States Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks utilizing multiple databases including the use of biometrics to ensure those with a criminal history are positively identified regardless of their immigration status.
