Laredo, Texas –  The City of Laredo COVID-19 testing operation is relocating to the Sames Auto Arena parking lot and will no longer be at the Laredo Public Library. This decision will help facilitate the operation and ensure safety. Starting Tuesday, January 11 until Monday, January 24 patients can get tested via drive-thru, Monday to Friday starting at 8:00 AM. This site is in collaboration with Vara Health who can administered up to one thousand tests a day. The operation will run like the COVID-19 Vaccine drive-thru operations (see map for details), and patients will need to fill out a form while they wait in line. According to Vara Health, after the test is administered, patients will receive a notification about four days later, with a link to view their results.

To help with the demand, Curative has added 200 additional appointments to their seven locations around town. Furthermore, the additional three sites the City of Laredo requested Curative a week ago, will be operational (tentatively) on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, Monday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Patients are required to set up an appointment through their website at www.curative.com

The three additional Curative locations are:

·        Fire Station #5 parking lot 200 E. Stewart

·        Northeast Hillside Rec Center 5700 McPherson

·        North Central Park parking Lot 2619 San Isidro Parkway
